A Beginner’s Guide to Collecting: Pokémon TCG Part 3, Organising your Collection

Welcome back, Collectors!

Are you starting out your collections and not sure how to order your sets? Here are our recommended ways to organise your collection!

First things first: get yourself a binder. This is the best way to keep all your cards in one place to minimise the risk of losing any, and it’s an easy way to show off your cards. It’s also important to remember: organising your collection should be

fun!

Here is how you can organise your Pokémon cards (in no particular order…sorry, we couldn’t resist!):

  • Numerical Set Order

  • Pokédex Numerical order (different from set number, as each species of Pokémon is given a unique Pokédex number)

  • Typing (Fire, Grass, Water etc.)

  • Alphabetical Order (from Abra to Zubat!)

  • Rarity

As a collector, you might even incorporate a variety of these methods based on your liking. Please let us know how you prefer to order your cards!

Happy Collecting!
